A friend picked up a Pilot for $1. The frame is in good shape, and there is a motor, transmission, and carburator. The airbox, etc. is missing. He doesn't know any of the machines history.

So, is it worth messing with?? He has lots of time and just wants a project to work on. Where can he get parts, manuals, etc. Do dealers still have this stuff???

Yea, I think you can get parts still. Ask your friend if he'll sell it, I'd gladly take it off his hands if he doesn't want to do the work.

yes definatly it is really worth the work. how much did he get it for? believe me if you restore that thing into a machine with normal wear and tear you can sell it for4k or 5k. totally restore and youve got one expensive dune buggy. i had a 250 odyssey myself and always dreamed of one but now its sold and im getting my first quad a warrior. for parts and help and so on go to http://pub6.ezboard.com/fmikespilota...eypartsforsale, if this dont work go to google and type in mikes honda pilot page and it will be the first one up. have fun and good luck!!!!
