Redrocker,
I called them last Thursday and they said that Doug would call me back too, but he never did. To his credit, he was out of town. But, the shifter was too short and I even think that a direct fit shifter on the Raptor is not a really good idea now. The reason: The throws for the shifts are just too long because the footpeg is too high above the shift shaft. The leverages work out so that in order to shift, you gotta go a lot farther than with the linkage. That's why Yamaha put the linkage on there in the first place, to shorten the shift throws. I talked to Pro-Design and they said the same thing but that the linkage is sloppy. I found another shifter, from UMI, that supposedly takes the play out of the linkage by using bushings instead of just a loose fit on the peg boss. I ordered this one, and it should be to me on Friday. I sure do like the idea of no linkage, but when I thought about how hard it is to engage the gears sometimes even with the stock shift throw, an even longer throw made me nervous. Anyway, I'll let you know how the UMI works out. Here's a link to the shifter on UMI's website. Take care and good luck.
