I'm not usually impatient, but I haven't heard a thing about the Rincon since last fall. When Honda pre-announced the Rubi, at least we were treated to info about the transmission and engine well before release date. Yes, I know this is marketing, but I want more info on what kind of bike this might be for me.

What is the Rincon transmission all about? Is there a low range for the 3 speed? What's the deal with the 4WD system? Is it a locker? How is the suspension tuned? Will we have to wait another year to see it come to Canada? Come on, Honda, Throw us a bone!

When will the mags get to test this bike? Some have said to have seen it, but no one reports riding one.

Have I missed something? Anyone else have any more info on the Rincon?

I can't seem to get information on it either, even made a group devoted to it ( see below for group site). I was hoping we could all gather a scrap or something and put it all together. As of yet no one is even in it. My guess is that it isnt goin to be a big hit as well as the Rubicon, since there isnt any hype on it .

Thinking real hard about selling my Polaris sp700 and going with the Rincon, I own a 01 Rubicon and have been very happy with it "I trust it". Need to ride the Rincon first.

Housdog - Wow - you'd drop your brand new SP700 for the Rincon? Bad experience with it? I noticed it won the ATV Mag big bore shoot-out recently. I know this is a Rincon post, but what put you off the big Sportsman?

Horseman, that article in that ATV Mag about the SP700 beating all the other big bores was the biggest SPONSOR article I have ever seen. I wonder what the royalty was from Polaris to that mag for that article. The Grizz and Prairie would walk all over the SP700 heavyweight.

I am not going to bash any other ATV's anymore (or any less). I like any ATV that you don't have to shift. My favorite ATV is the 91 Polaris 350 2-stroke water cooled 4-wd. I do believe that is the ATV everyone is still trying to keep up with. I think that was the first automatic. If Polaris had not built that machine I would probably not own an ATV today. Long live the automatics.

I purchased a Kawasaki 650 Praire for the wife and have had a lot of trouble with it. With 53 hours total the belt has been replaced twice and reshimed 3 times, the KEPS braking system melted, the plastic cracked and now the driven clutch is out. I am not bashing Kawasaki, They build a good machine but this on has beeen nothing but a pain. I have a deposit down on the first Rincon at my favorite dealer, Heres hopeing we have better luck this time.
