DS650 Baja vs. Scrambler 400
#1
Ok, In a 1/4 mile drag...... Just Kidding, no this is not a race. I have a choice, to either keep my Scrambler 400, with a pipe, or buy a DS650 Baja. I have to sell my scram if I get a Baja. I've seen the DS, and they look sweet, but never ridden one. I sat on it, and it feels real comfy, and the gears seem to shift smoothly and all, and I fit good on it.
Please post back soon, we are going to put a deposit on the DS tomorrow.

No real competition here, get the DS. I love mine.
The only downfall I see is the lack of aftermarket for the DS. It can get a little frustrating if you like to mod the bike out.
The best thing is the suspension in my opinion. It will soak up most anything you throw at it and if you put some aftermarket shocks it is much better.
What I really wish bomb would do is make a 500 2 stroke in the DS chasis. With all that travel and a kickin 2 stroke power it would be unstoppable.
Anyway I think the ds beats the polaris hands down, but I have never been on a scrambler either.
Hope that helps

Get the DS! unless you just Gotta have reverse. Really, having GOBS of torque and "Gears" is really fun, And the ride is as comfortable as your Polaris. GET THE DS!

Adam...... I owned a 2000 Scrambler 400 2x4 before my DS. It was piped, ported, Wisco'ed, VForced, Clutched and the kitchen sinked! No way near the DS. Go for it. You can also talk with Andrew on this, he also owned a Scram before his DS. Pipe Up Andrew!

I'm here,
I think I sent Adam an email....
If not. Get the DS, you'll forget all about the Scrambler.I had a modded Scrambler 4X4 too. It was reliable & fun, but the DS is in another league. You feel like you are riding the King Kong of quads. Yeah it's big but so is the Scrambler. But the DS carries it's girth well. Once you get the DS broke in & hammer it you'll love it. I just remember nailing the throttle & watching the front shocks top out by those cute little fenders, feeling the strong pull of top end power in 3rd, 4th, & 5th gear & thinking Scrambler, what Scrambler......
