ya'll may have heard this or discussed it a thousand times, but i went to the dealer a couple weeks ago and they said that they were putting in their order for 450ex's in June and should be here in a few months. I dont know what to think but i put my name in for the first one. I dont really think this is true but somebody let me know.

Honda isn't going to make a better quad. Look at the direction their headed in streetbikes, they revamp their machines, make them cost more, but still lose to Yamaha and Suzuki. I like hondas, but its a noticable trend that their not following the power craze with the rrest of the manufacturers. Does anybody else see this too?

Unfortunately, I too see that Honda is letting the competition get away with significant horsepower advantages. I have a CBR 929 and let me tell you, power-wise the Suzuki GSXR 1000 reigns supreme (by far!). I believe that Honda will always rank high in the handling and reliability departments, but I don't see them upping the hp ante. When it comes to ATV's, everyone knows that Yamahas historically have the most power.

I hope that Honda will release a Fourtrax 450. That is exactly what I'm waiting for. I'll continue to wait patiently, but if they don't announce something by Sept/Oct, I may just have to break down and get a Raptor to park next to my Banshee.

I think honda is realy starting to fall behind. Look at there dirtbikes the cr125 has the weakest engine of any 125. The cr250 engine is not that good. It has no hit in stock form and no bottom end power. The crf450 is not as powerful as the yzf426. The 400ex is in big trouble when he z400 comes out. I just heard a review that the z400 has more power than a raptor and handles as well or better then the 400ex. also its lighter and has a lower center of gavity. How did honda let this happen. There was a time when the cr were the best. When the 250r was the best. And honda street bikes ruled the road. That time was the 80's. Honda now goes for super relaiblety. Where hondas of old where relaible but also had great power.

Make no mistake, there is no "was" in the time that the 250r "was" best. It's yet to be topped, unless by the c-dale.

it would be great if honda did release a 450 quad, i think that would put them even more over the top. i'm havin a hard time beleivin it, but the 400ex just popped up outa nowhere when it was released, i'd say honda is workin on a new quad, just exactly what it is beats me.
