Hpd or Hotseat Pipe. The best pipes ?
#1
I want to know what is regarded as the best pipe for the Scrambler 400 and Trailblazer 2000.
My Wifes Trailblazer is Great but it could do with a bit more get up and go. Has anyone tied a Hotseat or Hpd pipe and what were the results?

i have a 400 scramble with a hot seat pipe and it works great i also have a clutch kit from them also and a bigger carb but after the modifications it seemed to have lost it low end power.
Do you know what i could do to help with my low end power e mail me any time at grandmawalsh@webtv.net

brown,
I've just installed a RCR stage one kit (top end) on my Trailblazer and was surprised how easily it went on. No cuss words were needed to make everything fit and best yet, no plastic had to be removed. If you want the best value for your money, go with the RCR kit.

Brown, I can't comment on the HPD, but my local dealer has a hopped-up demo with the hot seat pipe on it and that thing screams. I don't know how much the pipe has to do with it, but those guys seem to favor hot seat parts.

I have the HPD trail pipe and clutch on my '98 Sport. The pipe was not as noticeable as the clutch engagement, but the bike will wheelie now where it wouldn't before. My biggest complaint is the heat on my leg from the HPD pipe. I could never feel heat from the stock pipe.
I have heard nothing but praise for the RCR kits and Rick Ritter himself. If I was doing it over again, my money would go to RCR.
