Any one ever found a jet kit for the carb on a, 97 Scrambler 500

I have checked Dyno Jet,outerwears racing,k&n
they all do not have a kit for it.

Does the 97 sportsman 500 have the identical carb as the 97 Scrambler 500? Maybe i could try looking for sportsman jets. ARe the jets different in these models?

Any info on any part of the post would be helpful thanks,

Ryan, I know this is not the answer you're looking for, but you would be much better off saving the $60 for the carb kit and putting it towards a new carburetor. All the carb kit did for me was give me a little better throttle response. If you want to add horsepower you'll want to replace the small carb on the '97.

ok I will. thanks for the advice. I see one in my hotseat catalog called 36mm taperbore carb kit.
Should I buy this? or are their any other better carbs out there for my atv. 239 bucks OUCH!

I am also going to add a wiseco piston with this carb i have decided since the stocker would probably crack in a year or so. Where should i buy this piston from? and is there a piston kit?

Ryan, AAEN has a 36mm for $215 and a Wiseco piston for around $130. I'm not too familar with the procedure, but Ritter offers carb. boring on his website for $60. I would call him and see what he can do with your stock carb first.
