How much more HP does the H.O. motor produce in a Scrambler? I'm looking at buying a 1997 and was wondering if it has alot less power than the 2002 I test drove. Any comments with actual HP fiqures would be greatly appreciated. Also, is the non-H.O. motor just as reliable as the H.O.? Can the non-H.O. be brought up to equal power with a stock H.O. by putting on a pipe and rejetting?

They claim 20% power increase to the HO engine. Don't know the exact numbers.

To get HO power out of a non-HO requires a new cam, and I think a whole new carb. NOt sure about the pipe.

The actual horsepower figure is 38 at the crankshaft for the H.O. and 32 at the crankshaft for the NON H.O.
