Check your kill switch , if in doubt unhook it. I know this sounds simple , but sometimes we overlook the obvious.

Did you replace or check the cdi box? I noticed you have another R, swap the cdi box and see if that solves the spark problem. I switched to the CR250 electronics, much more reliable but a bit pricey!! Also, the spark plug boot sometimes will have a poor connection causing this problem. How did you check the coil and what were your readings? The primary coil should be between 0.1 - 0.3 ohms, secondary coil should be between 7,400 - 11,000 ohms with plug wire attached. With plug wire disconnected, the secondary coil resistance should be between 3,700 - 4,500 ohms. Make sure you have a good quality volt meter and a fresh battery when making these checks.

briansgi is right. If you have another 250R that you could swap some parts on, the cause will be easy to find. If your CDI is stock, it probably has went out. They're not expensive. I rebuilt my motor as well, and it wouldn't get a very good spark, but with a new plug and a different coil, it fired right up.
