Have you ever owned or have this?

Have any of you ever owned a '86 125 quad made by Honda?
I'm going to buy one for my daughter so she can learn and it will be a starter quad for my other 3 children to learn on as well.
My question is how fast do these go? I want to know what to expect. Also is there anything else I should be aware of?
Thanks for your help.

I used to have one. Rock solid quad. I gave that thing all the trouble it wanted, and even more, and it kept on going! Mine had a little problem though.. The gas cap vent was messed up, so you couldn't tighten it.. Let's just say I came back with wet pants more than once I even lost it a few times.
Good quad. It's not very fast... I'd say 40mph max.

My nephew has a one. He is 12 and it fits him fine, would even put someone smaller on it with no problem. Thing is bomb-proof, can't hurt it no matter how you try. Only problem I see is the lack of suspension, but kids are so resiliant, doesn't seem to bother them.

There was a neighbor boy down here that baught one for 100 bucks that was basically junk, he baught it so he could finish it off and basically just to play on, and i've watched that lil quad roll back off hills, be completely under water, basically just anything that could happen to a 4wheeler and its still running strong, They are tough. He will prolly get it back out and attempt to finish it off this summer!
