I finally did it. I just went to the dealer tonight and bought a new 1999 Grizzly for $6500 total.

Originally he wanted $6499 for the bike, $419 for a Warn A2000 winch and $280 for prep and freight. So what the final deal was for $6500 for all that? He threw in the freight and prep which I think is a joke anyway and the winch for free.

Should I have got the 2000? He said the only difference was about $300 and the black wheels vs. silver. Which I like better anyways. Was he jerking me around did anything more change?

Let me know what you guys think.

I take delivery Friday or Saturday.

Ridgerunner,

I just bought a '00 Grizzly 4 weeks ago. $5,995 for the Grizzly, $50 documentation and $200 for the Warn A2000 winch and mounting kit, no tax and I picked it up myself.

Based on the weight, the '99 must have plain aluminum wheels. The black wheels are powder coated aluminum. Other than the rim color, I don't think there is any difference between the '99 and the '00. If you ride the Grizzly like you should, nobody will be able to tell if the wheels are silver, black or pink for that matter. Most of the time, you can't tell mine is dark green, it looks like a dusty grey from a distance.

Always keep in mind that what constitutes a good deal does vary some from one region of the country to another.

Well you got a good deal and probably the best bike out there pound for pound. I have 500km's on my 00 grizzly and just keep loving it more and more. My buddy just bought a 450 ES Foreman and he thought it was fast. Well we went riding and he was fooling around passing me and stuff. Well put it this way i got tired of it and dusted his butt. I lost him, when i stopped he couldn't believe how much power i had.
Also i live in Canada and we don't have over heating problems here. The one's that do live in very hot climates might. I use synthetic oil which they say makes it run cooler too.
Reliable and tough is what i wanted and i got it "So Far", i have confidence in what i have seen for my own eyes. They take a beating and keep on ticking.
Mine is also the Green Machine.

You got a great deal. Even though mine is a 98 model I have still spent a few bucks on my Griz to make it badder. I have known people( who don't ride ATVS) who say that for that much money they should fly. Well my friend they do. Fly through mud that is!!!!!!!!!!
