how do you go about adjusting the preload ie turning the top nut on the rear of the 300ex.i can't believe that honda didn't include the tool in the kit,and the owners manual offers no explanation.i tried the tool from my street bike but it isn't big enough.any suggestions?

Yeah, go to your local Honda dealer and pick one up, and if he doesn't stock it have him order it and just pick it up or have him send it to your house. I've got one for my 300EX, but the rear shock is really hard to get at the preload setting. Plus the wrench don't have much leverage, so I put an extension on it.
