We just bought my son a 250EX and he loves it.

As we were looking it over, I checked the air filter and it looked dry. I touched it and got a very small amount of oil film on my finger.

So, my question is: is it be oiled from the factory and is this the proper amount? I have a can of spray on Uni filter oil. Should I put more oil on the filter?

Thanks!

It should definitely be oiled from the factory and this seems like the right amount. It should have a thin layer of oil all the way around it so you shouldn't have to oil it again until after you clean it.
