i just got my motor back from rick ritter, and i installed it and it will not start. it will turn over but it sounds like the starter is trying to drag some. now i did not bolt the ground down from battery yet. i just had it against metal. could this be it. it is getting gas. also it has been since feb. since i have cranked motor on the battery. maybe a week battery. any help would be helpful

it would make sense if you connected everything and made sure the battery was up to full charge before you even try to start it.

 

Have you tried the pull start .

Hey Rick I think all the bugs are gone now , went riding this
weekend no tow rope needed . Piston and ignition held up , very
pleased with the mid range pull and exceleration . Now I know
how poor the suspension is . Thanks for all your service and help .

ok. everything is ok. just the ground wire comming off battery. runs like a top

 

I also am having a problem with no spark. I checked my ground disconected the etc on the trottle and still am not getting any spark. I got help by someone with the same mods on his scrambler as I do. He thinks that it might be my cdi or coil pack. Anyone have any help?

just a wild guess but the magnet didn't separate from the flywheel did it?

 

maybe, only took off cylinder and oil injection.
