96 CR80 How much Oil??

I'm working on my girlfriends cr80. I'm changing the bottom end oil. I dont have the manual, so does anyone know how much to put in, along with what kind? I was thinking like a SAE 10w40. Thanks

SAE 10-40 is what I use for my sons KX80. It has a sight glass on the side so I just fill it up halfway on the sight (bike sitting level). I would think the CR80 would have the same feature. I believe it is around 0.78 qts in mine ......

Hey SmittyMan, I'm thinking on getting a Honda CR80 (used) and I was wondering if you liked its preformance and all? One more thing, Do you know what the top speed is and How much HP it has STOCK? Thanx a bunch, See ya.

Mike-

This 96 cr80 rocked. It had some power bands that just kicked a$$. I would say that max mph would be about 65-70. Dont quote me on that though, it could be more. I'm not sure on HP though. It's definetly a good buy. Make sure you get on it first and ride it around, though. Good Luck.
