What are the good and bad pionts on aluminuim wheels..

It's seems to me they would damage easy beig softer metal...but lighter and wouldn't rust...

It looks like you answered your own question. The only thing you didn't mention was that they look a heck of a lot better.

I bought Holeshot XCT's and put them on Douglas 190 rims. I've run them through some pretty tough terrain on a 660 pound machine. They have held up well. Don't be cheap on the tires and buy the thicker rims and I think you will be happy.

aluminum is the all around best as far as weight and strength is concerned. Douglas rims are way better than stock. My stock tires have been bent to hell and back.
