It is LOUD, It is LOUD it is LOUD. I can't belieeve those of you that suggested it was "a bit" louder. I had a big gun on my Raptor that was considered really loud, and that thing is like a kitten compared to this. Way tooo loud in my opinion. Helmet on all day and my ears hurt. Now I am a guy with an 80 bronco running headers and straight pipes with a cherry bomb so I like loud but this thing is STUPID LOUD.

Having said that, I love it (LOL!!) I did not rejet as my dealer suggested it was not necessary and I now agree. Plug is perfect. No change in performance with "choke" on. I did not remove or drill the airbox as I believe SILVERBEAR did, perhaps that is why he rejetted. Power is WAY up. Wheels in HIGH gear from a roll. No BS, my buddy took it out as well and eh loved the power, agreed it was too loud though. Does not miss any power anywher. WIth big mudders for tires running only 2 lbs of air I still hit 63 MPH. Could hardly hit that before with my stock tires at 6lbs of air. I have a subaru WRX that I put a Borla system on. It was noisy at first and then got quieter. I am wondering if this one will as well.

Thanks for the post!

I am wanting to add some of the "new" add'ons to my bike. I am happy to see the power increase, but i really dont know if i would trade power for sound.... i am really happy with the "tone" of the griz and if it was to be that LOUD, i dont know if i would really like it.

I am always in search of MORE power. As Tim Allen would say: aurrgh aurrgghh auuurrrrgggghhh!!!

hehe

HEY BINGO,

I WAS THINKING OF ORDING THE ENTIRE SYSTEM...FOR MY GRIZ..BUT IS IT TRULY TO LOUD TO STAND. BEFORE MY GRIZ I HAD A 2001 WOLVERINE AND I HAD A WHITE BRO. E SERIES ON IT. I THOUGHT IT WAS ON THE VERGE OF BEING TO LOUD. DO YOU THINK THE WHOLE SYSTEM WOULD BE EVEN LOUDER. I REALLY WANT THE POWER GAINS BUT I AM NOT SURE IF I AM WILLING TO SACRIFICE ENJOYMENT. BASICALLY MY QUESTION.......IS THE POWER REALLY WORTH IT..

Definate power gains. No question and they are substanital (guessing 3-4 hp which is alot on a 30 hp motor) Noise is stupid loud though. My neighbour who is into cars and in particular old muscle cars says it sounds like a drag car.

If you are running ANYWHERE near neighbourhoods, do not get this pipe. If you are always running in pits and far away trials and such, it can be alot of fun.

Put it this way, I bought ear plugs today to wear next time I ride, and that is WITH my helmet.

I am curious how SILVERBEAR feels as he has this system as well and I never remember him freaking out about the noise like I am.

That's correct HMF! Mine is crazy loud too but after riding a stock Raptor this weekend I really missed mine... with it's thunderous rumble of instantaneous power! Very loud the full system. I removed the silent core for more power but with the silent core it was almost as quiet as a stock Raptor... maybe different on a Grizz...
