A friend has been waiting now for 3 months for a ball joint for his 2000 Big Bear! The quad has only 30 miles on it and has been in the shop since December 1st. He broke the ball joint, it wasn't a defect. He's paying for the repairs. The last time he talked to Yamaha, they told him that it was in transit. Thats been almost a month ago. To their credit, it sounds like Yamaha is going to help him out with the warranty since it has been out of commision for most of the warranty period. That will help, but he wants to ride it. No complaints about the machines, but is getting parts always a problem? It seems to me that they could take one off a new one or ship one directly from the factory. They must be building Big Bears everyday. Anyone know where he can get one?
