JRM,
You could just look at the back issues for the last 3 or 4 months where half of the magazine was devoted to an article on a machine that no one has even seen yet.

Did any of you guys read the article on the Rubicon transmission here on the ATV Connection? After reading the entire article,I think with all the sensors and switches that run and shift this tranny, you better make sure to buy the extended warrenty with this quad.If anything went wrong with the tranny after the warrenty is used up,it looks like it will be BIG bucks to repair. And complicated to.But knowing about Honda's reliability, perhaps this could be the auto tranny that beats them all.I have to admit,I like the concept of this tranny.I just hope it dont break on anyone,=====BILL

I dont think it will, honda is alot like Toyota and they dont have many 1st year problems.. I cant think of a toyota or Honda that had a major change after the first year..Joe
Ohhh, wate, the 84' honda XR 250 had soft valve springs and it destroyed the engine if it was run hard..they fixed the problem in 86' ..thats the only honda that i can think of I had one and never had a problem but dirtbike mag said they did.
Joe

I am in the toyota one, but never go there..I wheel alot in my 90' Toyota X cab..just a huge 4x4 quad with heat, air and a cd player and Room for 4 friends
TO me things are like this
Ford is alot like Polaris-they try cool things but never hold up.
Toyota is like honda-wate for the market to be proven then build something unbreakable (tundra)
(note,The ford diesel isnt built by ford and I personly love the powerstroke)

Ford will not hold up thats bull. Toyotas are great had one myself at one time if you take care of them. But now I have a Ford F250 a real truck,to haul real things. And a Polaris will last just as long as a Honda but you have to take care of both of them. Beleive me I've owned somthings most people have never heard of and you have to maintain them all even the Honda and the Toyota.

JRM; Add the '85 Honda FL350R (Odyssey)to your list of problem Honda's. It had so many problems in it's first year that they discontinued it all together.
