I read some on that new Chevy Diesel. It sounds cool. That Allison transmission is supposed to be built tough, one of the best you can get.
About the Tundra's size, it might be a few inches short in some dimensions, but that might be an advantage to some people. If you have a tight fit in a garage door, the Tundra would make it easier to get in. Me personally, I would rather a little smaller, easier to park, easier to meet someone on narrow back roads, as long as my fourwheeler fits in the back box without going over the wheelwells and the tailgate could shut, that's all I would care about. What advantage does 2" more in height have? Or 3" more in width? I don't see how it could make the truck better. I really liked the ride in the Tundra, sure put the Dodge that I drove to shame. So some people might call it a full size, and some might not. I personally like its size, a Dakota is a little too small for me, and the Tundra is inbetween that and the full size trucks. The long box of the Tundra actually is longer than the Big 3's. Also, the distance between the wheelwells on the Tundra compared to the huge Dodge Ram is identical, so I don't think it's far off. It also has the most ground clearance.
