Correct Oil Levels from Cannondale Tech Staff
#1
There seems to be some confusion concerning the correct oil level for our Cannondale quads. First of all, we do not recommend running the vehicles at a lower oil level. You want to make sure that you keep it in the "OK" zone. Alot of the oil problems are caused from individuals going over the recommended oil level, which can overload the engine with excess oil and in turn release oil externally.

Hey guys, I think the owners manual states it pretty clearly, mine on page 75:
CAUTION:
The correct oil level can only be checked after the engine has run for a brief period. If you remove the dipstick without running the engine first, you risk overfilling the system and possibly damaging the engine.
It goes on and explains the proper procedure for checking the oil, I'd suggest everyone take another look at their manual.

I think that would make it just over 5 gallons right?? I could see that causing an oil overflow problem.
Where do you guys find these mL figures and even a better question is what brand oil are you guys using that has this on the bottle?? Sounds like road racing oil for the Ducatis.
I use Honda HP4 WITH moly for the engine and HP4 WITHOUT moly for the transmission.
