Took it to the dealer and C-Dale told them to try some stuff out to determine the problem. It's not a ball joint or spindle so I'm told... The conclusion was it's an improper welded A arm mount. Where the A arm is welded to the frame. The top one is welded wrong or the bottom one which is causing the tire to toe out at the bottom.. The angle of the dangle is incorrect they're saying. Pics in my sig under Z-400 & C-Dale at the bottom.... Anybody seen this problem yet??

looks more like a camber problem than it being toe'd out. anyway, the weld on the FRAME is wrong? not the weld on the a-arm? wow, that's not cool.

Looks fairly normal to me....

The wheels are supposed to have negative camber. Take a look at any MX quad with adjustable arms and a proper front end setup. It assists in cornering.

Mine are set with negative camber as well.

It looks like both of yours are set with neg camber, one probably has a little more than the other, but that's quite normal in the quad world with non-adjustable arms.

Everytime I replace the OEM arms on my 400EX, I get different camber. Right now I have one that's really bad compared to the other. Really doesn't cause much trouble.

If you're still concerned - contact Cannondale for their camber specifications and have it measured to see if it's within spec. If not, have the arm replaced if it bothers you.

Stock A arms aren't adjustable. I was told today that the lower A arm mounts that is welded to the frame is the culprit. The jig that was used to drill the hole for the A arm mount was out of tolerance a fraction of a inch which in turn pushes the lower A arm out. That's what is causing the toe out affect. You think aftermarket A arms could fix that w/ adjustable camber and caster. That's a whole lot cheaper then swapping out a whole frame.....
