I must have tried 10 places here in Cincinnati and nobody has a small round head Mikuni jet that big!. We are leaving in about 2 hours for a weekend riding trip and I dont know what to do. I modified the end cap and need to rejet. HELP.

 

Did you ask for this type or part # N102.221 ? usually with the jet size on the end. 170,175,180 etc. Sudco and Alba and others carry these main jets. You might try searching for a k&n or dynojet jet kit locally for the ds. They are about 50 bucks or so. The stock mikuni main jets range from about 2.50 to 5.00 a piece. I know this probably won't help you when your in a hurry, but just thought I would let you know.

 

Yeah, I can't find the round ones around here either! I'm just going to order them. where do you suggest ordering them from? Alba?

Drill them out yourself. It's not that hard to do if you have the right size drill bit, but don't forget to champher the top of the jet with a slightly larger bit.

 

I thought about doing that. I would have rather slotted a hex head jet though. Fortunately I found one guy that had a 180 small round head mikuni jet. It saved the weekend.
