IMS aluminum Heel guards
#1
There was an article in ATV Sport, June 2002, about an ATV expo that had a picture of some Roll Design pegs with IMS aluminum heelguards bolted to them, and they were for a DS650. IMS website has no items listed for the DS, odd because they make the Roll Design pegs I have.
Does anybody have, or have you seen, these heelguards? I want them - plan to call in the morning and ask about them - Diamond G guards don't work with my pegs.

I called IMS - they didn't know anything about them!
Then I called Roll Design and they are making them, they're like partners or something.
They will be available to us in 6 or 8 weeks, I was told. No price info yet.
They are designed to work with the Roll Design pegs, which I consider my most appreciated mod, but look as though they can be made to work with stock pegs too. Roll pegs are much wider than stock, so a spacer could be made to fill the space between the heel guard and the stock peg, rather easily I should think.

Did they say if they are going to be near the size of stock, or a more stream lined peice? I for one would like to see a smaller more simple desighn that wasnt so robust like the Diamond G ones. They are super nice and all but I just thought they were a bit overbearing.

Definitely - they are super sweet in appearance, I like them much better than the Diamond G. Much more streemlined, almost elligant. They curve up from the edge of the peg, to the fender, and are much smaller than the stockers.
There is a picture towards the front of the June 2002 issue of ATV sport - in the article about the dealers expo. Check it out at the news stand.
