Is their something I can spray on the aluminum and hoses before washing that will clean it up nicely?

Not a hardcore mudder, but the clay here leaves a film that is hard to get off.

Simple Green will help, but you still may need to scrub. I heard a lot of guys like SP100 bike/atv wash, spray one, let soak, hose off. I think there are a few products out there made just for cleaning mud film, but can't remember the names off hand.

We sold S100 at the shop to a lot of cycle riders. I brought home a can and used it on the old Honda a few times and it did ok,but it wasn't as greasy or nasty as a lot of atvs are. Engine Bright is supposed to be safe for plastic so that might be your best choice.S100 Total Cycle Cleaner

if it was just alum. and not the hoses I would say blue magic. I used it a lot of shinning up snowmobile tunnels and rims as well.
