Any one have any tips for a machine shop to port my head? Any hot spots? Any one had their own shop do it? What did it do? Increase the mid or top?

I plan on doing it myself in a few weeks. It looks like there is quite a mismatch going from the intake to the intake port in the head. The bowl are could use some work. I also noticed the short side radius could use some work smoothing the transition. Other than that, just normal valve guide boss work and possibly some chamber work. i havent seen the chamber so I dont know if the valves are shrouded or not. I would expect most of the gain to be midrange and top end with some noticeable low end gain. Dont go hog wild and remove as little material as possible to maintain good low rpm air velocity.

That sounds like a fair price. Did he provide any before and after flow data? Does anyone have any before and after flow info on their ported heads?

Hurycne, just take a finger nail file and have at it I'll see if I can get a copy of my before and after flow test and get it to you.
