Raptor: AC Magneto rotor?

how do i pull this bloody thing off? i pulled off the side case and the large nut holding the ac magneto to check my one way starter yesterday and i used a puller to get it off and it won't budge. is there a clip im missing here or something? any tips on pulling the ac magneto rotor off the Raptor?

According to the manual once you get the nut off you use the flywheel puller & it comes right off.
Make sure it's not cocked & hanging up is all I can think of.

You MUST use a flywheel puller. Without one, you can do some serious damage.

i used the "flywheel puller" the one with "arms" on it, and no luck. info i got on another fourm says to use the puller that's shaped like a "Y" ?

I took mine off last week with a flywheel pull that I bought at Farm & Fleet. Any auto store should have one. I had to by 3 longer bolts so I could get the center "puller bolt" to thread all the way onto the aluminum puller because I started to strip the threads on the aluminum puller. I then had to turn my impact gun to #4 and really crank on it. It finally came off with a loud bang, but all was good. Make sure all three bolts are threaded in good and the puller is centered. Then put some power to it.

My friend pulled the bolt heads off of the puller bolts when he was pulling his ac magneto off of his 400EX. Some of them are really tight.

If all else fail, just throw a grenade and yell FIRE IN THE HOLE and see what happen....lol
