Well I just got all the parts I needed today from Elliot over at Ron Woods and slapped everything together. I have it about 90% dialed in possibly a little more fine tuning but other than that no more stinkin Blah outs!!!! I still can't figure out why nobody has answered me about the 97 vs. the 96 needle though?! I know you guy's are running them in a lot of your 45mm's but I guess no one wants to share that information?! So I am wondering If perhaps I should share my Accelerator pump info with you guy's?! Come on I know you want it! Just give me a little info and I'LL SHARE! HEHE!!! By the way all you ridding chicken's how come none of you are coming with me and Batoutahell to St.Anthony's this weekend?! I sure hope to see some of you out there the following weekend!

Give up the Info AngryBajaBoy

Row Woods just sent me the pump parts to my 45 mm carb.

Do I need to get any more parts?

Thanks

Allright since you asked nicely. I still want that info on the Needles though. So what you have to do is go ahead and reasemble the Accelerator pump 1st. Did he send you that Tuning manual by the way? Step 2. put in the #50 pump nozzle, make sure that when you depress the pump that the fuel stream is hitting dead center on the needle, this atomizes the fuel otherwise you will get a big rich blah out. Step 3. Adjust the screw with the spring, or the pump timing lever screw so that you have just a little pre-load on the pump actuator, or the shaft, which ever you want to call it. Step 4. The screw on top of the carb is for adjusting how long the pump will squirt the fuel as you give throttle. This is important! You only want to give it just enough fuel to get you into the range of were your needle takes over. If you give it to much you will be to rich thru your mid and top end. Start out with the screw flush with the top of the carb or the hole that it is in. Right now I have mine set at 1 full turn in from the flush position. These are your first starting points for tuning it to your preferences. These will get you started. The big secret to this Accelerator pump is that #50 nozzle because with it you are cutting the fuel stream in half. It was just to much fuel with the stock # 70 that comes with it. Oh, by the way you will have to put the stiff spring back on because the lighter spring won't hold the carb shut. Don't fret though! all you have to do is unhook the thumb spring in the throttle block, and it is only a little stiffer than stock. I will let you know some more fine tuning after this weekend after I go to St. Anthony's. Good Luck. If you need some help give me a call at (818) 402-6458.
