I talked to Harry today about the DS650 pipe. I was trying to get ahold of one for a upcoming party on the 29th. It might happen, might not. Anyway sounds like the pipe is on scheldue for july delivery. He said that is made 15 pounds more torgue down low and in the middle, and i believe 10hp in the middle. Don't quote me on that. The headpipe is bigger than stock. Same or alittle better on top. He said the top was fine because the power gains would be there with engine mods. Makes me thank Trinity is working on some engine combo's. I have not made many calls to trinity, but every time the staff is great. Harry always seems to be availible to talk. He is the man in my book. Kind of wish he would not do things for the bomb, cause i might have to upgrade some more. I think i will be sporting the Trinity raptor pipe on the 29th. I need to figure out how to break the news to the mrs. She writes the check cause i always forget to log them in.

 

14, you are correct Harry is the man.

He faxed me the dyno sheet on the ds pipe and it looks good. You are correct it is gaining about 15 lb/ft of torque on the low and mid and a couple up top and about 10hp in the mid and a couple up top.

I wish I could see dynos of other pipes, but I have not.

Anyway, he also said that these numbers will be slightly higher up top, when they are done with the jetting.

I am hoping for some future engine mods. I am going to be ordering this pipe pretty soon, if the wife lets me...[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]

14, I pretty much emptied my bank account when I bought my camper. But probably over the winter, I will try and build the ds. The raptor is going to stay where it is until my wife decides what she wants. I have told her I would do the 686 for her, but she is not sure if she likes it enough or not.

I am definately going to build the ds, just waiting for the right parts at the right price and for my account to recover a little. In the last two months, I have put out about $7000 more than usual and it has taken its toll.

I want to buy the trinity pipe, it looks killer. I am debating preordering.

Jeff- If it does not clear, YOU CAN make it happen. How much more power do you need? I heard there was a 30k limit on quads. Are you there yet? I hope it clears the carbs.

The Trinity Raptor pipe does look nice. Good to hear someone else is stepping up with parts / mods for the DS. If Trinity keeps the price in the ballpark of Raptor performance packages, TEAM PAMI and RWR will go out of business or lower their elaborate prices. Competition is great!

 

jeff when word got out about the pipe I asked Harry if it would clear the duallies and his response sounded like it would along with the manifold they are designning.

When I get my duallies I am trying to get Raptor720 to dial them in for me. (he has lots of exprience with FCRs. He's even telling me to go with 35s instead of 39s}.

So if he does it, it will be at Trinity and I will let you guys know when I am going so I can make a list of questions.

I'd buy one but I'm happy with my CT and I'm sure I'll be broke AGAIN after buying the duallies.
