Buy a 400ex, with a pipe and filter, ims 440 kit, rev box, get some elkas for it, and you have a sweet mx, race, trail machine. All you need now is reverse. Get a z400 i guess, with some elkas.

He wants it to handle better! Not buy a 400ex and go slower!!! A cheap mod is wheel spacers (60.00) it will make the world of difference.

It's called move your A$$. The machine handles fine if you know where to put your body when riding it.

It would be nice if it were as simple as that! A nice start, but NOT the entire answer! I agree with 3TV...gotta spend a little money. My new A-Arms and shocks are gonna be on the way!

to make a raptor handle better...wider a-arms and axel...steering stabilizer...and better tires...make sure you think about what you want to do with your raptor....mx racing...trail riding...dune riding....each type of riding has it's specialized setups....i build an incredible handling mx raptor...motor kit included...i spend alot of money...but that what i wanted to do and could afford to do....do the research....figure out a budget / total dollar amount that you can spend...do some more research and get the parts and build you raptor...for an awesome trail machine....try timmyboys +2/+1 a-arms with TCS or ELKA shocks....get the rear shock reworked...and if you can swing it...get a Dominator +5 axel from RPM....the a-arms/shocks/axel...will make that raptor handle like a dream....also...rider position really helps with a stock raptor....as stated before....widening and lowering a raptor helps with the handling,...but rider position will make that widened and lowered raptor go faster....my lap times dropped by alot because i widened and lowered it........but moving your ars...off the seat is the big tickey for good handling.....remember..you dont neccessarily have to spend alot of money...just be wise and build the raptor for you liking and riding desires....good luck......herbon out.......
