YFZ250F Project Cancelled [sold]
#1
Well......Sold the future YFZ250F chassis today.
I sold it to reconbasher. He blew his Wolvy up at the last race in the utility class and needed a last minute ride for the next race so I put a rebuilt Blaster engine in there. Seems odd to be an almost stock motor with all the chassis mods that have been done...LOL
The only reason that I am posting this is because of all the PMs I get every week asking about it.
Sorry guys, but it's gone.
Yamaha...if any of you are watching....you need to build this thing. The potential sales are ridiculously high. Built it and keep it under $5000 and you will have a winner.
reconbasher,
That thing should handle like a dream. Good luck at the next race.

Hey Knowsalot,
Well I hope you got what you wanted out of your project...I look forward to seeing something like that on the market, but I won't hold my breath.
On another note, a friend of mine has a Tri-Z and I know him too well....he's going to kill himself on it. How difficult would it be to take the motor out of that and put it in something like a Blaster frame? 4 Wheels is bad enough with him, but 3 is deadly.
Thanks.

Hey Josh,
Actually I lost money by selling it for what I let him have it for, but fellow racers are like family ya know. He would have done the same for me.[I hope...LOL]
I have never fooled around with the Tri-Z engines. I'm not sure how close they are to matching up with the Blaster frame, but anything is possible with the right tools and the right person doing the work.

yeah that blaster is really smooth running. alitte bit more power in it than i expected......4 gear will bring the front wheels off the ground about an inch. I like to have never got it started....poor me and the kick start. I took the rear brake caliper apart and cleaned it when i got it home, found out that it was the brake pads was frozen in place. When i started to put it all back toget i acidentally broke a plate looking thing that had 3 notches cut in it so this mechanism thing could fit into it, Guess i have to go to VCC saturday to get it. We clocked it running around 68mph. that quad sure is fast than the mojave that tparker bought.
