What a BAD DAy!!!

I left the house an got not even a 1/2 mile away, and noticed I blew the sidewall out of my rear Dunlop (about 6 hours on bike).

Not much I can do on that one, except suck it up and buy another Dunlop, or replace the rears w/ something better.
Any suggestions????

The same day, I got a piece of someones tow strap (must have been in some water I crossed) sucked up into my front sprocket. Good thing it wrapped up tight because it damaged the seal and was leaking oil ou, but the strap slowed the leak. Thank God...

I noticed it when I got home, it lost 3/4 of a qt of oil, but when I unwrapped the tangled tie, the oil was pouring out.

Any suggestions on how to prevent this in the future???

about the tire, id definetly invest in some holeshots, 6 ply [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]

bout the thing gettin stuck, invest in some skid plates (i guess that would help keep crap from gettin up and under the bike [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]

u might wanna ask bout the tires tho, tell us what kinda terrain u ride mostly (sand,hard packed dirt, soft dirtm, trails, etc etc etc) and thatl help us tell u what kind of tire to get [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]

 

Damn, is everyone gettin' flats on these tires? On my first day riding it, I punctured it. Plugged it and it's still holdin' up. Looks like these tires are weak, my buddy has a raptor, which has the same factory tires, and he has a leak that he can't find...maybe it's cuz it's a raptor....hehehe.

 

Yeah these dunlops are just meant to be ridden on the street it seems. Mine has a leak in it, but no worse than the Razors on my C-Dale front left has 3 holes in it and right has 2. All depends where you are riding and how hard. I also was too impatient to wait for the 6 ply and settled for the 4. Looks like I will be getting the 6ply shortly. One question can you put a tube in the front tires? Has anyone done this on any of their quads and how did it work???

 

I ride it in a mixture of trails, and sand pit.
Is there an all around good tire ????

For a quick fix, I put 4 plugs in the sidewall, and some fix a flat [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

Now it is a slow leak [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

A buddy of mine has Spider Tracs I think they are called. They are really good on the trails and have a pattern set for sand riding.

 

i would look into razors they work great for everything and clean better in mud than the holshots maybe some bandits if you dont mind the extra lbs
