I was riding yesterday and hit my rear brakes and they were gone. The pedal went all the way down. There was no brake fluid left but no sign of a leak. I filled it and they still don't work. It is like the pedal has no compression. any ideas why this happened.

i would add more fluid to the top ofthe resivoir and check the line's fittings making sure their all tight and then bleed te brakes that should do it also check your pads

 

Since you had no fluid you need to bleed them. Once you bleed them they should work fine again.
