i just finished installing the supertrapp and am installing the jet kit in the morning. question is...
i have 11 plates on the supertrapp, and i am going to go the 155 main jet with the 4th groove. 2 1/2 turns out on the fuel screw. does this sound right?
should i put 1 or 2 plates back in? i am looking for great take off power, but not at a cost of loosing all my top end.

hey all. well, the job is complete!!!
heres what i did.
needle on the 4th groove.
155 main jet.
2 1/2 turns out on the fuel adjustment.
k&n filter, w/ overfilter.
supertrapp with 11 plates.
results...

not as much off the line power than i was hoping for. it does wheely off the line in low, but you would have to pull slightly to get it over. on its own, it will carry the front tires bout 15 feet.

starts and runs fine, including with the choke on.
the exhaust is ausome!!! not too loud at all. it is about the same sound wize as doing your own exhaust improvements.

top end, i would say is almost as good as stock, but ran out of room before i could get it there,( short street, lol)

verdict...
if you have oversized tires, this is a must to get it back to stock speed and form. with stock tires, i would say it would fly!!!

the jet kit was easy, exept for yamahas screws holding the carb together!!! not one of them would come loose. i resulted in using vise grips to break them loose.

check another post by me for details!!!
