Raptor Spark Arrestor
#1
First off, no, I don't want to run it without it. I want to see of there are any internal baffels I can drill through, and put the spark arrestor back in. I did this with my 400ex pipe, and noticed more snap, and it was quieter than any aftermarket pipe I've ever heard. Question is, How do I get it out? I took the bolt off at the bottom and tried to tap it out but I'll just end up denting it up(already did a little bit). I was also thinking of removing the restrictions in the snorkel, cutting a 2*2"hole in the back of the air box lid, and rejetting with 150/155mj-155/160mj, and 25 pilots. would 27.5 be any better, or is there a fuel screw adjustment? I just got the raptor and my piped 400ex has more snap and throttle rasponse than the raptor. If I nail the throttle, It will hesitate for a split second, then take off. won't wheelie as easy in the upper gears. anyway, any help will be apprecated. Thanks.

The baffle in the stock pipe is a PIA to get out.
You won't see much improvement by just reworking the baffle, the stock pipe is very restrictive. You may see some gains by removing the restrictor in the snorkel but you'll still have a very restrictive pipe.
I put the Sparks X6 on my Raptor, trimmed the snorkel & put in Dyno jets & wow it really woke it up!!
You can see what the complete Sparks X6 looks like (stainless header/ spark arrestor) on my Raptor on the Sparks Web Site, Go to Raptor Then click Exhaust & scroll to the bottom of the page & click the pic of my Raptor in the sand for a full size pic.
I can't help on the jetting because I have the Dynojets & their numbered diffrent but there is an air correction screw.

i used a screwdriver and a hammer when i removed mine. i just kept working it around the edges side to side top, bottom because it kept getting into a bind. it helps if you have someone pulling on it with channel locks also while you are tapping away.
