I broke in my new Alpinestars Tech 5's this weekend and had trouble getting under and around the shifter lever with the bulky, stiff boots. I noticed that AC sells nerf bars with "Pro peg's" that are lowered and set back. Is this what I need to clear these boots? Thanks guys..

I heard the bullet shifter helps alot too. Nerf bars would also help a bunch

 

Reposition the shifter. Just losten it and move it up. That is what I did on mine.
