i just got a 00' 300ex and was wondering what i can do to it to make it jump a little better, have more power (pipes, a new carb, filter, etc.), and what is a good tire for it? i ride mostly on a woods mx track with the biggest air being about 10-15ft (high). any help would be appreciated

I would get some new front shocks. Then have you back shock revalved.I just broke my front left shock on mine.So I'm fixing to bye some works shocks. The main thing (to me) in mx is suspension. well see ya later

A pipe and filter should be your first step. I would beef up the suspension first before I did any serious engine mods. Depending on the size of your wallet there's a lot that can be done to a 300EX. The closer to stock you keep your powerplant, the more reliable it will perform for you, something to think about. RIDE RED OR GO HOME!!!

I agree, the first thing I would buy is a K & N filter. The next thing would be a pipe. I have had good experience with DG and reasonable price. Next, I would buy a set of turf tamers for the rear. Then comes the aftermarket front shocks. I run Works. Revalve rear shock. Next, get a plus 2 axle and then radials for the front.
I had to decide this with a Mojave. By the way, don't use wheel spacers.
Good luck.

If you look through any of the ATV rags a number of places carry them. For the steeler fronts(without reseviors) they average around $260 to $270 a set for a 300EX. Most aftermarket companies have web sites now. You may have to do a little surfing to find the best price. Good luck!!
