Questions on the moto 440? and cannondale sponsership?
#1
I have posted about this subject before I just want to make sure of a few things. I am ordering one this week. What are the first things that have went wrong with everyones? What should I be looking for? I also have a question about the cannondale sponsership. My local dealer is planning on sponsering two riders. Its not just the dealer doing it though cannondale is part of it also. They give the dealer a rebate for the sponsership. Its a rebate for the buyer like if the moto retails for 12,500 I get it for 10,600. You also get a free cannondale riding outfit, 2 chains, 4 spark plugs and then the dealer give you all parts at 10% over cost. It sounds awesome. I am just curious if anyone else is a part of this? If not I think the dealers should be. and the last question is does anyone no what kinda interest rate Cannondale is offering right now? Well thanks for all the reply's.

I'm getting sponsered by C-dale/dealer very similar to you. It's been great! In fact it was the reason that I went with Moto rather then building a custom machine. The service of my dealer and Cannondale has
been exceptional!!! I'm being spoiled.

The dealer is the one that you would need to contact. Although Cannondale is the one offering it. Your dealer sets you up though. I think the main thing is that you have to buy one when you sign. I could be wrong. I know the dealer gets a rebate for $2000 thats how he sells it to you for $10,600. So its Cannondale that puts the sponsership on, your dealer has to participate though. I am not sure if you have already bought one if the sponsership will go through. I am still learing about it. I am going this saturday to sign for it. He has already ordered my bike. I will keep everyone posted on what else you get when you sign up for it. I know you get a free Cannondale outfit, 2 chains and 4 plugs. Other than that I think its up to your dealer. You also get to go to the Cannondale place where they build them that way if you have a prob. at the track you can fix it yourself.

OK, I talked to my rep and to the factory today. The ONLY sponsorship that Cannondale does is with NAC'S no one else. What most people are referring to is Cannondales demo plan. Here is how it goes. The dealer get $500.00 off each demo (max of 2-Quads and 2-Bikes) after the dealer decides to sell them (this varies on each dearler's floorplan) Cannondale will send new plastic nothing else. As for demo on motocross (Moto 440, Blaze, X-440) there is no warranty, so what breaks falls on the Dealer. Cannondale is providing this and I took advantage of it and have rider's sponsered offering bike, fuel, maintance, only. I keep the bike at shop for daily demo riding and take it to whatever track we decide to race, in witch they let other riders at the track demo but not race. This is a good thing but cost Dealers $$$. When I sell my demo's I will not come close to breaking even. But without the ability for riders at the track to ride the demo's Cannondale would be forever getting sanctioned for AMA. We have to get XXX? amount of bikes sold to be able to race supercross and other event. Each and every Cannondale dealer can offer whatever they want but that is what Cannondale offers to the dealer. Please encourage your dealer to provide you or someone you know that is thinking of buying the opportunity to ride the best on the dirt.

Yeah, my dealership said they could get me a good deal on a demo Blaze ($9,100 I think) but no sponsorship. I told him that I was racing MX and he said "Oh the Blaze is the bike for you!" So, I know he thinks I am a dumba@@ or he is one himself. I guess I will just go out of state somewhere to avoid paying taxes.
