In Utah, The existing presidency has screwed over utah. They are trying to save all of it for wilderness to show that the government cares. We in Utah have a large republican vote and it makes the democrates upset that are ruling now. We won't have anywhere to ride if Al gets his way. We need to take a stand now and stay on the trails and show everyone we pay taxes and care too about the forest and parks.

Both of you are right about standing our ground.... Most riding areas are falling rapidly. Most of the problems are with environment groups...But most recently, politics are starting to put a damper on things also. I mean look at what Clinton has done....just about whatever he wants....with whoever he wants. But yet...he is still gonna go down as being one of the top supporters of the environment of the century. Thats because of all the work he has done to save the great redwood trees (in other words he signed a paper). He might or might not care....But he is in the books.
Is it right?....well thats anyones argument.
I agree to some extent...I hike and camp all over the adirondack high peaks region. And yet.. most areas are disgusting. But it's not the ATV's causing trouble (they are not legal there) It's the junk people are leaving behind.
And from most of the reports from wildlife/tree hugger advocates...Junk is the big concern...the local trails that I ride are also disgusting w/ beer bottles , food wrappers, and empty premix bottles everywhere. I clean what I can. But it will take everybody to prove that we can share the environment and make everyone happy. Especially in a world that is weighted down with all those big long cement things...what are they? roads? Talk about a menace....but they keep laying them.
It's going to be a long time...I fear..before people realize that we are slowly ruining it so nobody will be able to enjoy the outdoors.

I just read through the material posted up about Gore, and if he does become what they call a president the world is in a lot worse shape than I had prevoiusly thought. The minds of Americans are being brainwashed and destroyed by people who think they know what is best for you. The world should not be like that, they tell you what you can do, and they do what they want, nothing you can do about it. I saw the pic of Gore (Gomer) paddling his stupid canoe just for some stupid publicity pics, does the cost and loss of water just to get these pics justify his cause? NO! I am not happy with either candidate, they all are liers and not what the constitution intended, it's just what greedy, egotistical people need to do to make themselves feel important. They don't care what they do, as long as they get attention. He is not getting my vote and hopefully not many of others.
