In case you guys don't visit the Bombardier forum, I thought I would post here about this semi-organized race in Rock Springs, WY sand dunes. It is Disturbed660 (Raptor) vs DemonDS (DS650) racing in the sand. Both machines are similarly modded; the usual bolt-ons. Just follow the link here:

DS650 vs Raptor: DemonDS vs Disturbed660 racing on the sand flats

DS650 vs Raptor: DemonDS vs Disturbed660 racing up the big hill

Here's the web page with the PICS and VIDEOS

the extra weight of the DS looks like it holds him back on the hill. that banshee flew by them up the hill, just need that screaming twin to power up that hill!!

You have some great vids !!!
I love the ones of Choke Cherry. That is the biggest sand hill I have ever seen and that sand looks so soft. Some funny comments too!lol
Keep them coming

Ahhh shucks guys!!! Seriously, thanks for the nice comments. Check this weekend or so for some videos of DSaholic airing out pretty good on his DS650.

Kjmaxx, check out wshrdskin's videos from St. Anthony too. His were taken pretty recently and you will see a pretty big difference in Chokecherry betweeen early May when I was there and recently. wshrdskin's videos from St. A

Rincon, the DS definately did better on the flats than the hill. The weight makes it tough for the DS to fly up those hills. My Banshee with my big butt on it will take out the Raptor on the hill or flats but I never really raced that DS that weekend... It would be close but I think he would get me on the flats at least.

wshrdskin's videos are awesome too!
I cant believe a stock Z400 made it up.
The 11 yr old kid looks like an awesome rider for his age. I bet he can really fly on that Raptor since he probaly only weighs about 80 lbs.

KJ,

He weighs 90lbs and he's a very good rider IMO. He does ok on 2 wheels also. He'll jump higher and farther than I will on my Raptor. But then again, I'm skeeered. LOL. I have one of that same Z400 going up choke cherry off to the right side of the main lane over between the bushes. Much steeper and softer sand, He made it up that to. I'll have to dig it up and get it on that page also.

Wyo, thanks for the plug.

Heres the video. Z400

washerdusquinks or whatever it is I'll be out at St. A again in about a month so I'm curious to see if it's still like it was when you were there.

BTW, everybody I have 4 more videos up from the weekend. They are on the same page as the other videos and pics at More Videos featuring DSaholic Jumping and his race with Disturbed
