Those who had the larger cir clip installed to keep the cv joint
from popping out on the front diff on the 1st 02 grizz run. Did it
work? I have a chance to pick one up for a good price. But if this
will be an ongoing problem I will pass.

You might get the circlip anyhow, I got a late '02 grizz. The CV has never popped out riding but it's not as tight as it should be, when i done a CV boot replacement all i had to do was yank on the halfshaft...it should need a bit of prying too.
