Hello Guys,

Been a reader for many months and now a member. Someone knows a place to ride in the sand in Quebec or Maine. I mean not a sand pit but small dunes ? My town is at 4 hours north of Portland, Me. Here in Quebec, we have the opportunity to ride hundreds of miles in the snow during winters because we have ''state'' trails all over Quebec. However, not much during summers. Never ridden in sand yet. Wish I could take my Raptor for a test ride !

Thanks for all replies

I am in Maine but I do not know of any small sand dunes but I know I would like to go on a big ride in the snow this winter! I would be able to bring a few people and I am sure we would have a blast!

The closest thing to the dunes you're gonna find in Maine is the Winterport sand pit. They're are some good pits in charleston, garland and dover but retards that decide to burn cars and shoot up heavy equipment shut the pits down to everybody. The Winterport pit is the biggest around I'd say. More like a little desert. I spent all day in it today until I went over the handlebars and shock tested my helmet. There are all kinds of awesome jumps, bowls, hills, and quite a few MX tracks built into the areas surrounding the area. It it about 10 or 12 pits put together and you can ride all day without getting bored cause their is a bigger hill or jump in the next pit. So unless you wanna drive west to michigan or utah this would be the next best thing!
