Ok Dirt Wheels has done it again...
This time they went and rated the new Z over the Raptor! HA!
I own both of these machines and can tell you other than on an MX track (which I have had little experiance with so I can't say) the Raptor is alot more bike than the Z.

They continually reference the Heavier 660 like the ~30lbs makes all the difference in the world. They also keep mentioning the "Tippy" Raptor I don't know who is riding these bikes, but I personally have had no issues with the bike being Tippy.

Any rider with just a little experience in my eyes would much prefer the Raptor over the Z. I bought my wife the Z because after riding it I did fell that it was a very friendly beginers bike. My wife already is starting to like to ride my Raptor as well as her Z.

Ok now I don't want to start a bashing contest here but I was just wanting to hear some comments from anyone else that has read the article.

It's good to hear the opinion of people that own both machines. I have a Raptor, but I also have a 400EX and have never felt the Raptor was "tippy". Just more powerful and more FUN!!!!!

It's only tippy if ya don't know how to "hang" the bike thru the corners!

I Agree, I've never tipped my raptor over sideways, But I have flipped it over backwards a number of times( this probably dosen't mean much coming from me beings I'm mostly a straight line dragster).

I just wonder what kind of kick backs the mag. is getting from Suzuki to be rating the Z this high. I will agree that it is a fun bike to ride, but they say that the deciding factor between the two was the 800 buck price difference, common I wouldn't trade my Raptor for a z and 2g to boot. I just wonder if some of the people at the mag. is so caught up in missing the old quadsports that it means so much to them to see another yellow Suzuki sports quad running around that it blinds them to the better bike. LOL

Ow well the one thing that really bothers me about it is that there will be people read the article and buy the Z over top of the Raptor and never know what there missing.

You're right - but that's okay with me! Let them think it is a better machine. We will still rule!

Good point Raptoid...

Just one more man riding a bike with a big smile on his face thinking his machine is bad bacause dirt wheels said so...

Then out of the shadows comes a loud roar, and in the dust of the deamon another Z400 lays, humbled by the great predator.... THE RAPTOR

im new to quads but i bought a z put a yoshi pipe and a alba maxflow jetted it and i went to dunefest this last weekend i raced several rapters in all sorts of tune and i kept up with most of them with equal mods i really expected the rapter to whoop my *** but they were dissapointing to me then i traded bikes with a friend with a 2003 raptor the motor didnt rev like the z and the bike felt awkward maybe you should try riding a z that is opend up or maybe they just had ther throttle stops on

I'll give you the benefit of the doubt about the mods just because I haven't rode one with mods, but I have drag raced several with pipes this is after I had my pipe on and to say that they kept up was a far stretch of the imagination there was about a 3 bike lenghts difference on a 200ft track, but this is still another subject.

I'm talking about a stock raptor vs a stock Z this is what they did the article on. It just seems to me that they seriously try to nit pick the Raptor. I would guess that there are more people there at the Mag that would agree with you about the Z, but something tells me that when they go out to ride they climb on a Raptor and that most of the stuff in the article is to try to sell the Suzuki's new toy.
