Zookyrider,

Good point, I will be the first to say that the 400ex's will run very well with the proper mods, and most of the 400's that people have owned a few years have about all they can have done to them done, and thats the way that I am going with my Raptor I would like to have it maxed by next summer, but have to see what the $$ situation is. LOL

I didn't want to start a bashing contest about this. I just fell that in all honesty (owning both the bikes) that the Raptor is a better sports quad.

But, hell the Z is a blast to ride so lets just get along...
Is chadwick anywhere near Billing? I know there is supposed to be one nasty hill there. (Nevermind I was thinking you were from Montana but you are from Missouri) my bad.

Ow and I will let you know this the Z can take a pretty good lick I just rode in the National hillclimb in Delbarton WV and one of the guys flipped a Z from about the 450 ft. mark all the way down to about the 150 ft mark. It came to rest on a bench after about 40-50flips. looks like the only thing that was actually broken was the handlebars and the back pickup bar. Not bad if you could have seen the speed and impact on some of the hits. Ow and if you are wondering the Z put in a time of 16sec. He was runnig the Yoshi pipe and had 5inches added to the swingarm. And by the way if you would ever want to add a pipe to your Z the Yoshi sounded rather nice.

That guy must not have my luck. If I would have lost mine on a hill it wouldn't have any plastic on it by the time it hit the bottom. LOL The rocks are what eats quads around here. They love a lunch of skids and sprockets and this area is full of rocks in all sizes. I've been thinking about putting the Alba air filter kit and a white bros or hmf pipe on mine. I don't race anymore but I like the extra torque and sound of the pipe. My oldest son just started racing and as soon as he is able to move up we are going to set him up something to race on. My problem is I like to be different so I'm not sure what to build yet. That's the main reason I dragrace a Buick and I mess with a diesel truck. Difinitely different machines. And I have much more fun smoking ricers and gas burners with the diesel than I sometimes do racing the Buick. LOL

Do you have the propane kit on your Ram?

Check out this link AMA has posted some pics of the hillclimb. One of the Z is in there but its his first day run, and he rolled on the second day.
Hill Climb

Talking about being different I seen that fullbore has plastics for the Z in different colors, and they have pics of it in red. Looks really nice check it out... She looks good in Red!

No propane YET. I have a BHAF air filter, straight pipe exhaust, and a Performance Edge EZ box. I have to wait till I have the money to do the tranny before I can add bigger injectors, a Performance Edge Comp box and propane. I never realized how much of an animal these Diesels can be with a little work but the factory tranny can only take so much before you have to add a better torque converter and a stronger valve body from DTT. Mid 13s to mid 14s is common for some of those guys and I have watched a couple run mid 12s in the 1/4 mile. I'm hoping to get into the low 14s after I do the rest of my mods. 14s aren't to bad for 7150 pounds, 4 wheel drive, and over 20 mpg on the highway. Kind of makes my Suburban look bad. Not to mention that the wife drives the Ram most of the time and she can smoke my Suburban with it. And the Suburban already has an Air Raid air intake, Poweraid throttlebody spacer, MSD igition, aftermarket cat and muffler and 3:73 gears.
