More jetting help needed

I know everyone on here does not have the dual carbs but this is a general question for all the experts.
I have the same compresion as jeff and MajorEcho and the same cams as Jeff.
At the present I am way above thier main sizes and clip position but yet might plug is GREYISH/WHITE.
Elliott told me NOT to go by plug color but the color of the carbon on the inside of my exhaust.
Anyone agree/disagre with that?

What mains are you running now?(when warmed up)Are you getting a popping sound when you let off the throttle?
The plug color can be deceiving..I am amazed at the color differance between both plugs, then different fuels will throw ya off too.
I have had my best luck at night...dragging the hill..I just keep going fatter on the main jets untill the head pipes stop glowing...works for me

I am going to put it on the dyno today. I don't know how much I'll learn cause it's too hot here (108) to tune properly, so I am going to just make one run and see what kinda # I get and what the curve looks like.
