Banshee Suspension and General Maintenance questions
#1
I just got my Banshee today and noticed that it really needs ball joints, A-arm and J-arm bushings/bearings and wheel bearings.
Is there anything I should know when replacing these? I have seen some kits that have all 12 bearings that replace the bushings, are these worth it? Where should I go to get the ball joints, and how much should I expect to spend?
I also noticed that my chain guides look a bit warn and the rear plastic guide is pinched between the swing arm and the skid plate, is that normal? The chain and sprockets were just replaced, but I don't think that the guides were.
Any other general maintenance things I should be looking for?
Thanks,
Dean

If you want to check and see if the dealer is giving you a fair price go to www.rivaracing.com and check their prices there. They have always been less than the local dealers in my area. The chain sliders there are aftermarket companies that sell some of them. Might try www.rockymountainatv.com if you need the ball joints on the aarms themselves their non replaceable. If you need tie rod ends they can be bought at Yamaha.

contact cascade innovations for some of the chain sliders and rollers, they are just outside gresham in Boring, just off hwy 26. They have all kinds of stuff for banshees, and I'm sure you'll want plenty of there stuff. I think there website is www.cascade-innovations.com
