checking raptor valves

How do you know if your valves need to be adjusted.I've had my raptor sense jan.01. Is it hard to adjust them your self. I have a service manual.

You will notice a loss in power, but probably more noticable than anything will rattle or clatter that they make when they are off. The intake valves aren't too bad, they are easy to get to. Now the exhaust valves are the knuckle-bustin'est part of the whole job.

January 2001? Dang, I'm surprised it even runs. It's easy to do. Just follow the service manual. You will need to remove the front plastic and gas tank.
