Girl dies in accident at Sand Mt. Nevada!

Did you guys hear about this? A girl, 34 years old and her passenger, 54 years old crashed on Sunday. The paper said that they went off the top of a really tall hill. Apparently after they crashed the girl jumped up, drove the quad to get help, when she finally got down the hill, she killed over. I guess she either had internal injuries and the adrenaline took over or she broke her neck. The man is listed in "critical" condition. Neither were wearing helmets. I live in Northern Ca. she was from my same county. That sucks. The paper didn't say what kind of quad she was on.

I hate to hear that. theirs nothing more tragic than people getting seriously hurt or even killed while trying to have a great time with there friends and families. Little Sahara OK, has a death rate of 1 or 2 a year and the Ambulance goes none stop on big weekends.
Be careful yall!

I'm getting ready to make a trip up there. That is really sad. I hate to hear about this. I'm sure this has turned many peoples lifes upside down. My prayers go out to the family and friends of the women that lost her life. Anyone heard any news about the man who is in the hospital recovering?

This is truly a tragic story and I feel very very sorry for her family and friends in having to deal with the loss.
I was just looking through one of our local newspapers and read an article of a High School Senior from a Town nearby, that was just killed in an atv accident last week in West Virginia. It said she was a very popular student and expected to be the Senior class president and the valdictorian. Again my deepest sympathies go out to her family and friends. It must be very hard for them to cope with the loss of someone so young and who had her whole future before her.
I think we all stand to learn a lesson from these two tragedies. Atv riding can be dangerous and sometimes fatal. We should all be careful and not ride above our abilities, wear the necessary safety equipment and not take stupid chances. To ensure that we do not become the tragic headlines in the local newspaper or the sad story on the forums. We owe this to our families and loved ones.
