need info on aftermarket swingarm for 400ex...
#1
I have finally broken my stock P.O.S. swingarm on my 400ex & Iam ready to enter the market in search of an aftermarket replacement. Everyone give some info & opinions on which company to go with. I was kinda wanting to go with a LSR but according to there website theyre on a 10 week backorder. So if anyone has any + or - info about swingarms let me hear it all. Thanks!!!

You could go with a Houser, www.houser-racing.com. Jeff is a great guy and his product seems to be great. I haven't gotten to ride my new bike yet, but his craftsmanship looks real good. I had a Lonestar standard length on my old 400EX and it held up fine. If you think you want a lonestar call Legacy Atv, legacyatv.com, and K&K Atv, kandkatv.com. Either one of them might have one in stock. Just out of curiousity, have you gotten your pivot bolt out yet?

I have a Laeger's and from what I've seen, I like it better than LSR or Houser. That's just my uninformed opinion, It's worth exactly what you paid for it.
The last time I went to baldwinmotorsports.com they had some in stock.
If money is no object the lobo rear end from Roll sure looks sweet, but I don't have any experience at all with them.

OK got another one for you all, should i go with std or + 1 1/4?? Ive called around & it seems like everyone has 1 1/4 ones in stock. Plus I found a slighty used 1 1/4 Houser for $400. I usually do alot of woods riding with an ocassional MX track or two. I know the 1 1/4 helps out on the MX side but will it effect my handling very much in the woods?? Im still running stock shock in the rear if that has anything to do with it. Please let me know, Thanks a mil.!!

You will need to add some links to your chain if you go +1.25 (or just buy new if it's worn much.)
If you are a heavier person, you may need to get your shock worked on for very aggressive mx, but I doubt you would notice a difference in the woods.
I weigh 225 dry and my rear shock is a little too soft now that I have the +1.25 swingarm.
