How many DS's have been made since they originated?

I was just thinking about that, we have a few hundred regular people here with DS's along with a few hundred more lurkers i am sure. Just wondering how many total DS's have been built for comparison. Sean

I try to ride as much as I can, I crash alot so I like to ride with a partner. Which is pretty limited, I had **** poor days off. I just got the weekends off, because I injured my knee. I find out 08-27 if I have to have surgery. I love the ATV track at hollister, I can make the loop in about 41 seconds, my DS is stock. I put a small trail computer on the DS and the top speed for the straight away is 59.9mph. This is my first year with a quad, its a blast. I'm not that good on the trails I still have trouble judging the trails. But I kick but on a clear track. The guys I ride with have Raptors, Honda 250, Banshee, and the Honda 400...So we have a good veriety of machines and as far as experience go's, beginners like me to guys that been riding many years.
